In Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, rescuers are looking for at least 10 individuals, largely construction workers, who are thought to be trapped in the wreckage of a fallen building.
The seven-storey structure was still under construction when it collapsed on Tuesday afternoon in the Kasarani neighborhood on the city’s outskirts.

According to the Nation news site, the facility’s superintendent twice disregarded orders from authorities to halt building activity over worries about its stability. In the metropolis, it is unusual for structures that are still being built to collapse.
As rescuers worked to find individuals buried in the rubble, emergency services were still at the scene on Wednesday morning. Heavy gear was used to move concrete slabs.
