Regional representation is well-distributed: UEFA leads with 11 slots, followed by the AFC (6 slots), CAF and CONCACAF (4 each), and OFC (1 slot). The final spots will be decided through intense playoffs, promising exciting action even before the tournament kicks off.
Next year, FIFA will unveil the Brazilian cities and iconic stadiums set to host the matches. Among the 12 applicationssubmitted are venues that showcased unforgettable moments during the 2014 Men’s World Cup. These sites are expected to add to the spectacle of what promises to be a groundbreaking tournament.
