At the beginning of the week, Burkina Faso, a West African country experienced a bloody massacre by terrorists leaving scores dead and throwing the country in a state of mourning for three days.

The head of the country’s ruling junta, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Sandaogo, decreed three days of mourning, which took effect at midnight on Monday.

Away from West Africa to East Africa, President Paul Kagameof Rwanda ordered the immediate deportation of 18 Chinese investors. These Chinese investors exploited Rwandan people,and also took advantage of them by making them work abnormal hours like slaves.

Still on the issue of racism and mistreatment, a video went viral in South Africa, depicting a white male attacking a young black victim. In the video, the armed aggressor is seen pointing his gun at the teenager, while kicking and stomping on his victim.

And in India, a boy was found alive after being trapped in a well for over 100 hours. 

An upward trend in economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean was seen this week as the region’s premier financial institutions-the African Development Bank and Caribbean Development Bank advanced their cooperation.

RWANDA’S KAGAME ORDERS DEPORTATION OF 18 CHINESE NATIONALS FOR MISTREATING LOCALS

Rwandan president Paul Kagame has ordered the immediate deportation of 18 Chinese nationals for mistreating local workers in the country. “the 18 investors were found guilty of mistreating Rwandan workers and grubbing land on which they operated their business,” President Kagame said.
