He drilled a low shot into the back of the net after connecting with Harold Moukoudiโs pass. The 29 year old has now scored 5 goals in the first 3 matches of AFCON 2021.
Eight minutes after halftime, substitute Garry Rodrigues drew Cape Verde ๐จ๐ป level with an exceptional back heel. Despite the efforts from the hosts, they could not find the goal to secure all three points as Cape Verde held on for a well-deserved point.

Ethiopia ๐ช๐น was shown the exit door after a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso ๐ง๐ซ . Cyrille Bayala opened the scoring for Burkina Faso in the 24th minute.
Bayalaโs goal was cancelled out by a penalty where Ethiopian striker Getaneh Kebede scored. This earned his side their only point of the tournament. Burkina Faso will face the runners up in Group C in the next stage.
