The Confederation of African Football has confirmed that Olembe Stadium in the Cameroonian capital of Yaoundé will host a semifinal and the final of the Africa Cup of Nations. The semifinal to be played at Olembe will see Cameroon play against Egypt.

Olembe Stadium was set to stage the quarter finals on Sunday but the Confederation of African Football opted to relocate the match to Yaoundé’s Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium.

This decision came after eight people were killed and scores injured during a crush as Olembe stadium staged a match between host nation Cameroon ad Comoros last Monday.

“Having noted the recommendations and undertakings from government in regard to additional security provisions, the CAF organizing committee unanimously agreed to lift the suspension imposed on the Olembe Stadium,” Africa football’s governing body said in a statement.
