Limpopo South African Police Service (SAPS) is now investigating a video which went viral overnight, depicting a white male attacking a young black victim.
In the video, the armed aggressor is seen pointing his gun at the child, while kicking and stomping on his victim.
It is unclear what led to such a violent exchange. The clip shows the boy struggling to get back to his feet, after he was booted heavily by the suspect. Those filming the incident vow to ‘expose’ the senior party.
The shocking footage has since gone viral online, with an overwhelming majority expressing their solidarity for the beaten youngster.
A local activist in the Groblersdal area has confirmed that he has gone to the local police station, in order to report the incident to the authorities. Community members are now hoping that an arrest will follow, as SAPS work to identify the gun-toting suspect.
