Actor Brad Pitt has claimed that his ex-wife Angelina Jolie had tried to hurt his reputation by attempting to sell her share of their French vineyard and home Château Miraval to a “Russian oligarch”.
Brad revealed in court filings on his ongoing legal battle with Angelina that he was not aware of Angelina’s actions as she made the move quietly last year and sold the company to their competitor Tenute del Mondo despite their agreement to not sell family property without the consent of the other person.
According to the papers filed in court, Brad believes that the people she sold the company to are trying to take control of Miraval and is “indirectly owned and controlled by Yuri Shefler, the Russian billionaire who controls the Stoli Group.”
Brad’s team has revealed that Angelina purposely and knowingly violated the contractual agreement that she had with Brad.
“Jolie pursued and then consummated the purported sale in secret, purposely keeping Pitt in the dark, and knowingly violating Pitt’s contractual rights.”
Brad also revealed that Miraval was his passion which he grew into a multi-million dollar company and that his ex-wife contributed nothing to it.
