CAF TO LAUNCH AFRICAN SUPER LEAGUE ON WEDNESDAY

The state of African football is changing. This Wednesday, August 10, 2022, a new competition will emerge, and it will make its debut during the 2023–2024 season. 

With CAF President Patrice Motsepe set to launch the much-anticipated Africa Super League Cup tomorrow in Arusha, Tanzania, it has been learned that 24 clubs will be eligible to compete and which will feature the continent’s biggest clubs.This competition would breathe new life into African club competition.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino first announced the competition on November 28, 2019. The essence of holding this tournament is the enormous financial returns that will exceed the 200 million dollar barrier, which will be used to develop and improve stadiums, infrastructure, and football promotion in Africa.
