Belcalis ‘Cardi B’ Almanzar, has taken a plea deal to her case where she assaulted two sisters in a New York strip club, back in 2018.
The ‘Hot Sh*t’ rapper allegedly paid people, to beat up the two sisters who go by the names Jade and Baddie Gi, who were working as bartenders in the strip club at the time, because she thought that Jade had slept with her superstar husband, Offset.
Cardi immediately turned herself in to the New York police and pleaded not guilty back in 2019. However, the mother of two has had a change of heart and pleaded guilty on Thursday’s trial.
According to Cardi who spoke to TMZ, she wants to set a better example and owning up to her mistakes is a step in the right direction.
“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to,”she said.
Cardi has been sentenced to 15 days of community service and has also been ordered to stay away from the sisters for three years.
