Nigeria – Chidimma Adetshina, a 23-year-old law student representing Taraba State, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 in a remarkable turn of events. The grand finale of the pageant took place on Saturday night at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos, where Adetshina emerged victorious among 25 contestants.

FROM CONTROVERSY TO CROWN

Adetshina’s journey to the title has been nothing short of extraordinary. Just weeks ago, she was forced to withdraw from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant due to xenophobic backlash over her nationality.

Following her withdrawal from the South African pageant, the Miss Universe organization extended an invitation to Adetshina to participate in the Nigerian competition.
