Cristiano Ronaldo on Monday evening took to his Instagram page to announce the heartbreaking death of his little son. The 37-year-old released a joint statement with partner Georgina Rodriguez sharing the devastating news, in which they also confirmed that the boy’s twin, their baby daughter had been welcomed into the world.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” he continued, adding to the end: “Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
The Manchester United player announced he and Georgina were expecting twins back in October 2021. Ronaldo is already a dad to four kids: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, daughter Alana Martina, and son Cristiano Jr. Rodriguez.
Georgina Rodriguez, who is from Argentina, has been the longtime partner of Ronaldo after they met while he was playing for Real Madrid in 2016.
