Diamond Platnumz’s estranged father, Abdul Juma who is known as Mzee Abdul has come out to reveal what he thinks about his mega star son’s nose piercing.
According to Abdul, a nose piercing is not suitable on men and it goes against the beliefs and practices of the African culture.
“He did a wrong thing, truth be told because our culture and traditions do not allow men to do such stuff,” he stated.
He also added that he is not happy with the men that have tattoos and added that they will one day regret their decisions.
“Maybe he did that because of his wealth and to please his friends. The likes of Tupac did it but they were from Tanzania and did not subscribe to the culture and tradition of the Mbale and Nyamwezi people. Maybe he (Diamond) tried to do what he pleased, but I was not pleased,” he said.
Diamond had shared a video of himself getting his nose pierced in Malawi a few weeks ago. He also has a number of tattoos all over his body which his father clearly disagrees with.
Abdul also revealed that Diamond should instead reward himself with an expensive gift as opposed to getting a nose piercing.
Nose rings, were mainly worn by females, but more recently, more and more men have embraced the practice with the likes of Chris Brown and Tupac getting nose piercings.
