Celebrities are usually looked up to in all aspects of their life including love. It is tempting to want what they have, especially when they display their relationships on social media by posting cute photos and videos of themselves with heartwarming captions.
Sometimes it just does not work out for them and the fairytale comes to an end. Here is a list of five celebrity couples who not only broke their hearts, but ours too by calling it quits:
1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
This has to be the most heart breaking break up in the last decade as we were all rooting for Kimye. However, Kim filed for divorce early 2021 citing irreconcilable differences in the court documents. Ever since then it has been a complete roller-coaster between the two as Kanye took jabs at Kim on social media.
They ended up dating other people as Kim dates SNL host Pete Davidson and Kanye went on to date Chaney Jones and Julia Fox.
2. Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson
This relationship has been a complete mess as basketball player Tristan Thompson cannot just stop cheating on the drop dead gorgeous Good American queen, Khloe Kardashian.
Just this year, Tristan fathered a baby with a different woman and Khloe found out just days after her surrogate began carrying their baby boy.
Khloe however seems to be so forgiving as she takes him back each time. Let us hope that there is no turning back this time.
3. Shakira and Gerard Pique
‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer Shakira and football player Gerard Pique called it quits in June 2022 after ten years of dating. The pair have two sons; Milan and Sasha. The cause of their break up is unknown but Shakira released a statement revealing that the well being of their children is their biggest priority.
4. Michael Jordan and Lori Harvey
This break up was quite sad and was seemingly heavy on actor Michael B. Jordan as well. They broke up in June 2022 due to the fact that they just wanted different things in life. Michael reportedly wanted to settle down and start a family and Lori just was not there yet.
They however released a statement revealing that they are heartbroken but still love each other.
5. Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict
Actress Tia Mowry and her actor husband Cory Hardrict filed for divorce in October 2022 after 14 years of marriage.
Tia made the announcement on her social media platforms revealing that it was a tough decision to make but their two children; Cree and Cairo are their top priority and for that reason they will maintain a friendship for their sake.
