England came back from 2-0 down to lead Germany before conceding late in a spectacular Nations League match at Wembley that ended in a thrilling 3-3 tie between the two teams.

The game got off to a slow start, with neither team producing many chances. Raheem Sterling had two chances to beat Germany’s goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegen in the first half, but he was unable to do so.

After the first half ended scoreless, Germany broke the tie when Maguire’s turnover and following foul on Jamal Musiala earned the team a penalty. In the 54th minute, Ilkay Gundogan scored from the penalty spot with poise and composure to give his team the lead. Kai Havertz’s outstanding strike from outside the penalty area doubled Germany’s lead.

In the 72nd minute, just as Sule was about to clear the ball, Shaw scuffed a shot beyond the line, sparking the comeback. Mason Mount scored England’s equalizer three minutes later with a right-footed shot from the edge of the German area.

When Schlotterbeck fouled Jude Bellingham in the 81st minute, England was awarded a penalty. To cap off the comeback and give England a 3-2 lead, Harry Kane converted.

The drama did not end there as Kai Havertz scored from close range after Nick Pope mishandled a Gnabry effort. The teamsshared the spoils in the last match of UEFA Nations League group stage. Both were already out of contention for a semifinal spot. Germany ended the league phase in third spot with seven points, while England was last with three points.
