American-Moroccan rapper French Montana will possibly get slapped with a lawsuit for poaching lyrics from 90s rapper Turk who claims he lifted lyrics from his group ‘Hot Boys’ song ‘I Need A Hot Girl’.

Turk claims that French did not ask for permission to use his lyrics but according to French, he went through all the right channels to use the beats and the hook in his 2021 hit song ‘Handstand’ featuring Doja Cat and Saweetie.

Turk claims that the lyrics “I need a project b****, a hood rat b****. One don’t give a f*** and say she took that d***” in French’s ‘Handstand’ are similar to the lyrics he wrote for his group that featured Lil Wayne, B.G and Juvenile.

French’s team is already working on rectifying the issue as they made it clear that there must be some sort of confusion since French purchased the beat.

‘I Need A Hot Girl’ was a big hit on release as the track garnered over 6 million views on YouTube and was featured on Billboard hot 100.

According to Turk’s lawyer Paul M. Aloise Jr, there is a possibility of sorting the matter outside of court which seems like the direction the two parties are taking.
