2021 Miss South Africa pageant winner Lalela Mswane has been selected to represent her country in the upcoming Miss Supranational pageant that will take place in Poland in July.
Miss South Africa’s representatives revealed on their official social media pages that out of three different contenders; Lalena Mswane, Moratwe Masima and Zimi Mabunzi, Lalena will be the one to represent the country in Poland.
Drum rolls please… We are excited to announce Miss South Africa 2021, @lalena_mswane will represent Mzansi at the 13thedition of @misssupranational 2022 this July in Poland,” read the caption
The news has not been met with joy as many netizens are disappointed that the other two finalists have not been given the opportunity to shine, seeing as Lalena already took the crown for Miss SA in 2021.
The Miss SA committee is yet to disclose how they settled on Lalena but it is clear that the other finalists are highly disappointed.
Netizens are hoping that the committee reverses their decision or that Lalela steps down and gives her colleagues an opportunity to represent their country but it seems unlikely.
