‘Squid Game: The Challenge’ will soon be gracing your TV screens as Netflix has said season two is in the making, only that this time round the show will be based on real life.
Netflix is currently recruiting 456 English players from around the globe to compete for a huge lumpsum cash prize of $4.56 million.
The streaming service has guaranteed that no one will get hurt, unlike the show where players are eliminated by facing death. The worst fate, according to Netflix is “going home empty-handed.”
The show will reportedly begin filming in early 2023 and will feature games that were in the original series plus additional surprise games. Contestants will be tested on their strategies, alliances, and character.
Netflix’s Vice President of Unscripted and Documentary Series revealed that fans are in for a treat with the new show that will have a total of 10 episodes.
“Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery. We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment,” he said.
