Manson revealed that he has been in talks with afrobeats artistes, producers, executives and song writers where they brainstormed on the different sub-genres, needs and desires of afrobeats.

“My goal is to ensure that we represent all genres of music, including afrobeats at the Grammys, but it has to be done properly. I don’t decide the categories, the categories are decided and proposed by members,” he said.

According to the CEO, the members propose the category that they want, which is then voted on. He also revealed that the said process has began and that they have taken a step in the right direction.

The Grammys, are the most prestigious awards in the music industry, if afrobeats are added to the Grammys, it will be a game changer for Africa and especially African artistes.
