It’s official, fans do not have to wait any longer as they will finally see their favourite singer on stage once again as Rihanna has announced that she will be taking center stage at the 2023 Super Bowl half time show.
Rihanna, who is popularly known as Bad Gal Riri on Instagram, made the announcement on her social platforms as she shared an image of her tattooed arm holding an American football ball.
The National Football League (NFL) also confirmed the news in a tweet and changed their biography to national fenty league, switching up football with Rihanna’s surname Fenty.
Roc Nation (Rihanna’s label) has reportedly been in talks with both Rihanna and the NFL team in order to get the singer on board as she had declined a previous request back in 2020 to headline the show.
NFL had reportedly also reached out to Taylor Swift who politely declined their offer as she would like to rerecord all 6 of her albums before hitting the stage and so far, she has only recorded two of them.
