As of Monday morning, YouTube took down Diamond’s channel in an attempt to stop the hackers from violating their guidelines any further.
The incident set the bongo star back as he has over 6 million subscribers on his channel. His team however, was confident that they would be able to salvage his channel before any further damage is done.
Kim Kayndo head of Digital Department at WCB Wasafireleased a statement on social media letting Diamond’s fans know about the deactivation.
Translation of the tweet: “Following the hacking of Diamond Platnumz channel on Sunday, and the hackers going live. Today, it has been deactivated by YouTube management after the hackers violated YouTube guidelines. We are already in communication with YouTube to resolve the issue. Let’s be patient everything will be okay,” said Kim.
Diamond’s channel has however been salvaged and all of his videos are in place.
