The super Eagles of Nigeria 🇳🇬 on Wednesday night beat Guinea Bissau 🇬🇼 2-0 to cement their place at the top of Group D. Nigeria is the only team with a 100 per cent win ratio at the AFCON so far in Cameroon. The super eagles look unstoppable.

Striker Sadiq Umar scored his first goal for Nigeria. Umar who has been criticized for glaring misses, netted when Iheanacho’s excellent pass with the outside of his boot across the goal provided a tap-in for the tall forward at the back post.

Guinea Bissau almost grabbed an equalizer but Fali Cande’s free kick was well saved by Francis Uzoho.

Nigeria’s win was sealed when Troost-Ekong stabbed home from close range, after Moses Simon’s strike which hit the crossbar following a mazy run into the box.

Egypt edged past Sudan to finish second in Group D and qualify for the last 16 of the Africa cup of Nations. Egypt’s center back Mohamed Abdelmoneim, drafted in because of injury. He scored a goal after 38 minutes from a corner to make the breakthrough.

Egypt ended with six points, three behind Nigeria, and will meet the winners of group E.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was fortunate to come through the game unscathed after robust challenges from Sudan players.
