Ghanaian YouTuber Wode Maya has asked his Kenyan girlfriend Miss Trudy to be his wife on Africa’s highest point, Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Maya who recently hit one million subscribers on YouTube celebrated his victory by summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania together with his long-term girlfriend, Trudy. He claimed that it was something he always wanted to do and a good way for him to reward himself.
“In 2021, I promised myself that if I ever achieve the milestone of hitting a million, I’m gonna summit Kilimanjaro and I did it,” said Maya.
Maya posted a snippet of the heart filled moment when he proposed. Trudy is seen breaking down into tears and nods her head to say yes to becoming his wife as a group of people cheer the two on in the background.
“One thing that I know most of you don’t know I did on Kilimanjaro was proposing to my girlfriend, right now I’m no longer Wode Maya, fiancé Wode Maya or fianceé Wode Maya whatever you’re gonna take it have it like that,” he said.
“Don’t tell anybody that Miss Trudy is engaged, I mean she’s my forever,” he added.
Wode Maya and Miss Trudy began dating back in 2019 and have since then travelled the world together and shared a lot of their memories with their YouTube subscribers. Congratulations 👏🏿 💐
