Things are not looking good for American rapper Travis Scott who had a tragic festival back in November that costed 10 people their lives and injured hundreds of other people. He is now facing a giant lawsuit that will represent around 2800 people.

Not only will Scott face the lawsuits, but Live Nation will too as they were promoting the concert. A Texas Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation granted the joint motion for event organizers and victims to combine the litigations and present them to one judge for hearings.

The move will allow for a single judge to be efficient in pre-trial procedures particularly the procedure involving submission of evidence in court.

According to a legal document that was obtained by Billboard, the case will represent over 400 lawsuits that are seeking billions in damages and for negligence in ensuring the safety of the concert goers.

Astroworld Festival that took place on November 5, 2021 went south after the concert goers surged towards the stage in large numbers causing a stampede. This saw many trampled over while others were unable to breath due to the compression.

Ten people died including a 9-year-old boy while hundreds of others were injured.

The concert goers tried raising an alarm in various ways but unfortunately Scott security personnel were oblivious of the situation. Scott has apologized ever since then adding that if he were aware of the situation, he would have immediately stopped the show and gotten his fans the necessary help required.

In an attempt to make it up to the victims of the families, Scott catered fully for the funeral expenses of the deceased.
