She also affirmed this on her twitter page below:
In a campaign dubbed It’s Up to Us, the multi-award-winning African star is entrusted with urging Africans to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Africa Centre for Disease Control (CDC) and Mastercard are leading the campaign.

In the tweet, Alade said she is excited to join the Africa CDC, Mastercard and thousands of Africans to stop the spread of coronavirus “one shot at a time”.
In 2020, Yemi was made Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)

According to the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention, just 12.33 percent of the continent’s population is fully vaccinated, with only 0.91 percent receiving their booster dose.
