South African rapper and footballer Andile Mpisane has given himself a very sweet 21st birthday gift by signing with Def Jam Records Africa as their newest artiste.
Def Jam shared the good news via their Instagram account stating that they are proud to welcome him to their family.
“It’s An Incredible Honour To Welcome Royal AM Entertainment’s @andilempisane10 To Def Jam Recordings Africa!” read the caption.
The ‘Umcimbi’ singer not only unlocked a new level for his music career, but also decided to give back to the society in honor of his birthday by gifting 21 students with $669 to clear their school fees balance from 2021.
“In celebration of my 21st birthday this year we are back again with the #RoyalAMFeesMustFall movement. I would like to give back by gifting 21 university students that have recurring debt from 2021 with R10 000 towards their fees. You can also nominate someone in need of this financial aid,” read the post.
In an attempt to keep scammers and people with ill motives away, the singer also made it known that he will not be giving money directly to the winners but will pay it off directly to the institution.
