Senegal 🇸🇳 scraped past nine-man Cape Verde 🇨🇻with a 2-0 win to book their place in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter finals.
Cape Verde went down to 10 men after Patrick Andrade was sent off just 21 minutes following tough tackle on Pape Gueye in the middle third.
Another Cape Verde player was shown a direct card just before the hour mark, as goalkeeper Vozinha was penalized for his challenge on Mane.
In the 63rd minute, Mane put Senegal ahead. After a poorly cleared cross, he picked up the ball up just inside the 18-yard box and orchestrated a brilliant strike that kissed the bar before dropping into the net. Mane looked groggy after colliding with Vozinha and was replaced minutes later.
