AFCON: TUNISIA SEND NIGERIA HOME

Nigeria 🇳🇬 were sent crashing out of the Africa Cup of Nations as a covid-hit Tunisia 🇹🇳 produced one of the shocks of the tournament to seal a famous 1-0 win in Garoua to advance to the quarter finals.

Struck by many absences, including 12 players testing positive for COVID-19, Tunisia proved tougher for the super Eagles than expected. Youssef Msakni beat super eagles keeper Maduka Okoye with a long range effort two minutes into the second half.

Skillful attackers Moses Simon and Kelechi Iheanacho failed to sparkle as they barely got a chance on the pitch this evening in the tough game.

Nigeria’s task was made harder when Alex Iwobi was sent off following a Video Assistant referee review.The Tunisians held on to secure a priceless victory and only their second win of the tournament.
