Afrobeat legend Femi Kuti and his son Made Kuti have teamed up for the very first time since their Grammy nomination to give Nigerians the ultimate ‘Father & Son: The Experience’ show.

The show will be held at the New Afrikan Shrine on June 5, 2022. FK Management, the team running the show promises to leave fans yearning for more as they bring together the old and new followers of Afrobeat music.

“It has become a regular feature in recent times to see a feature of Made on a Femi Kuti set whilst the latter is on tour, and Femi has also featured in all Made’s concerts in and outside the New Afrika Shrine.”

“This concert will be their first co-headlined show since their joint Grammy Nominations. A show that seeks to bring to the home of Afrobeat the old and the newly converted followers of Afrobeat,” said Funke Kuti, CEO FK Management.

The two superstars come from a lineage of afrobeat legends. Femi is the first son of Afrobeat founding father Olufela Anikulapo Kuti.

The love for music runs deep in their blood as Made followed in his father’s footsteps and began performing alongside him as a young boy.
