American based Senegalese singer Akon has debuted a card for his cryptocurrency Akoin.
The card will allow people to spend their Akoins anywhere where mastercard is accepted.
According to Akon, the move will aid people to spend in their favourite stores unlike other crypto currencies that do not allow users to just pay in crypto.

“It’s Done. The official AKOIN Card!!! Which allows you to now spend your AKOIN (AKN) where ever master card is excepted. I’m sure you can’t freely spend your crypto in any of your favorite stores right? Well you can with AKOIN (AKN), so grab yours now on BitMart.com before we expand to the major exchanges,” Akon said via his Instagram account.
Akon created Akoin back in the year 2014 and hopes that African currencies can be united with one single currency, the Akoin.
He is also building a $ 6 billion smart city called Akon City in his home country Senegal with an unknown investor.
The futuristic city will sit on 2000 acres of land and will use Akoin as the main currency to pay for everything. The city will include condos, offices, a hospital, a stadium, an intelligent data center and a luxury resort.
