BURNA BOY RELEASES HIS ALBUM LOVE, DAMINI

The wait is finally over as The African Giant Burna Boy has finally released his much-awaited album just in time for summer.

The album consists of 19 songs featuring various artists including Ed Sheeran, Khalid, Lady Smith Black Mambazo, J Balvin, Kehlani, Blxst, Popcaan, Victony and J Hus.

Love, Damini is named after Burna himself whose real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu. He has also released the album just six days after his birthday adding that he was born at midnight hence why he decided to release the album at midnight.

Burna released the cover image for the album two days ago. He is seen sitting in front of two birthday cakes that are lit up with candles.

According to the Grammy winner, the album which happens to be his sixth studio album, is very personal to him as it talks about his wins and losses in life.

“Love, Damini is a personal body of work. It’s about the ups and downs, the growth, the L’s and W’s. I’m excited to share this journey and roll out with you all,” he said.

The first song of the album, ‘Glory’ featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo starts off with Burna promising that ‘this is my story’ followed by Mambazo’s harmonies singing happy birthday to the African Giant.
