Grammy winning rapper, Cardi B, has revealed why she chose to stay and work on things with her husband and fellow rapper, Offset after filing for divorce in 2020, stating that he wanted to change his way.

In a short snippet of her upcoming interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee, the mother of two revealed that she called off the divorce simply because Offset was willing to work on the things that she was unhappy about.

“Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye-to-eye. This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything,” she said.

The pair tied the knot in secret back in 2017, soon after they welcomed their first-born child and Offset’s fourth child, Kulture Kiari Cephas in 2018. They then broke up after rumors went round that the Migos rapper was having an affair.

In September 2020, Cardi filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ but quickly got back together after Offset publicly fought for their relationship by posting videos asking her to stick with him and even appeared at one of her concerts with an array of roses asking for forgiveness.

Cardi made an unofficial announcement that her and her husband were back together when she posted a video of him serving her breakfast. However, fans were not too impressed that she got back together with him and claimed that he was abusive. Cardi released two audio clips defending her man and revealing that she filed for divorce to teach him a lesson.

“Y’all sound f***ing crazy when you start using the word ‘abusive,'” she said in one of the clips. “I’m not in a physically abusive relationship. I’m not in a mentally abusive relationship. I have choices.”

Now Cardi is setting the record straight and wants the world to know that he is not the same man that he was back in 2020 when she filed for divorce as the court case was dismissed without prejudice in 2020
