American comedian and actor Chris Rock, is set to address the famous Oscars slap when Will Smith smacked him across the face last year, in a new Netflix special termed ‘Chris Rock: Selective Outrage.’
Rock has previously addressed the incident in short statements during his stand-up comedy shows, but will fully address it coming March 4.

“The thing people wanna know … did it hurt? Hell yeah it hurt. He played Muhammad Ali! I played Pookie (in ‘New Jack City’). Even in animated movies I’m a zebra, he’s a f—ingshark. I got hit so hard, I heard ‘Summertime’ ringing in my ears,” said Rock.

Smith slapped Rock across the face during last year’s Academy Awards after the comedian cracked a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkette Smith. Rock who was presenting an award on stage, compared Jada to G.I Jane, referencing her going bald which she later clarified happened because she was diagnosed with alopecia.
Following the altercation, Smith issued a public apology across his social media platforms to the comedian but Rock has never publicly responded to him.
