Sergio Kitchens, better known as Gunna, has been denied bond for a third time on gang related charges by a judge in Atlanta.

The rapper was arrested back in May alongside Young Thug and other YSL gang members in an attempt to crack down on all gangs related activities in Atlanta. They have been accused of murder, carjacking, armed robbery, drug dealing and illegal firearm possession.

Gunna has been denied bond for a third time, mainly because Fulton County prosecutors believe that he will intimidate witnesses upon his release.

However, Gunna’s lawyers believe that there is absolutely no evidence to keep Gunna in jail any longer and even went ahead to protest. According to them, the prosecutors have failed to provide evidence that ties Gunna to the RICO charges.

“Not a shred of evidence in the thousands of pages of discovery – not one piece of paper,” said Gunna’s lawyer, Steven Sadow. “The prosecution has been afforded ample time to develop evidence to support its motion to detain Kitchens. It has not succeeded,” he added.

Several celebrities have called for the release of Gunna and Young Thug including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Gunna’s trial is set for early next year.
