TV personality Khloe Kardashian, is being sued by her former household assistant who claims he was fired after taking a leave of absence due to a knee injury.
Matthew Manhard, has filed a lawsuit against the Kardashian claiming that he took a leave of absence in May last year due to an injured knee and upon returning in November, he was greeted with a termination letter.
Manhard also claims that the 38-year-old would overwork him and keep him so busy that he would be unable to take his legal breaks. He added that Khloe would also work him overtime and would not compensate him for the extra hours.
Khloe’s legal team has however denied the allegations stating that Manhard was paid every single penny that Khloe owed him.
“Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced. We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit,” read the statement from Khloe’s legal team.
Manhard is now seeking cash compensation from the mother of two for allegedly violating numerous California laws.
