Reality TV star, Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West, are officially divorced and have settled both child and property related issues in a court document filed on Tuesday, that saw the two avert a court hearing that was set for next month.
The parents have agreed to share custody of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Saint West. Although Kim already has the children 80% of the time, which seems to be okay with Kanye West.
Ye is to pay his ex-wife $200,000 in child support every month, he will also foot half the school fees amount and any education related expenses as well as the security bills.
Neither will pay the other spousal support as the two signed a prenup before their marriage in 2014, hence no properties will be split as they kept them separate.
Kim filed for divorce on February 2021 after they seemed to be having issues. Kanye fought for his marriage and his wife but Kim seemed to be completely done after she wrote a letter to the judge revealing that she ‘very much desires to be divorced.’
Things took a nasty turn after Kanye constantly attacked Kim, her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson and her mother Kris Jenner on social media. Kanye even claimed that Kim was restricting him from spending time with their children, a claim which Kim denied.
The two began dating in 2012 then Kim got pregnant in 2013 with their first-born daughter, North. They then got married in May 2014, in a beautiful ceremony held in Florence, Italy.
