NICKI MINAJ’S HUSBAND SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR HOUSE ARREST

Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, has been sentenced to one year house arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in Los Angeles.

According to USA law, sex offenders are meant to update their details within five days once they change their place of residence. However, Petty failed to do so when he moved to Los Angeles, California with his wife back in 2019.

For failing to comply with the law, he has now been detained at home for a year and additionally been fined $55,000. Prosecutors however believe that house arrest is too lenient for him and have pushed for prison time.

Petty, was convicted of attempted rape back in 1995 in New York. The woman who accused him of rape later sued the married couple for threatening her in order for her to drop the attempted rape charges.

The couple tied the knot in October 2019 and welcomed their first child in 2021. Nicki has been by her husband’s side through the controversy and has shown her undying support for him publicly. Hours after he was sentenced to house arrest, she took to her Instagram where she posted a sweet family picture.
