The wait is finally over as Rihanna is set to make her return back to the music industry after a six-year long hiatus with a soundtrack for Marvel’s Black Panther- Wakanda Forever.

The song titled ‘Lift Me Up’ is a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman and is set to be released on Friday. Rihanna made the announcement via her social media platforms.

Lift Me Up is written by Rihanna, Nigeria’s Tems, Ludwig Goransson and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler.

“After speaking with Ryan and hearing his direction for the film and the song, I wanted to write something that portrays a warm embrace from all the people that I’ve lost in my life. I tried to imagine what it would feel like if I could sing to them now and express how much I miss them,” said Tems.

Rihanna’s last album, ‘Anti’, was released back in 2016 and was a big hit worldwide. She has since not released music as a solo artiste and her fans have literally been pleading with her to give them more bangers.

However, things seem to have changed as Riri is set to perform at the 2023 Superbowl Halftime show and was also spotted at the studio a couple of times.
