Nigerian artistes, Burna Boy and Tems have made it to the annual BET hip-hop awards nominations list.
The award show is set to happen on October 4th, in Atlanta, USA. It will be hosted by rapper Fat Joe for the very first time.
Tems has received three nominations in the categories of: Best Hip Hop Video, Song of The Year and Best Collaboration, all from ‘Wait For You’, a song she featured in together with Future and Drake.
Burna Boy on the other hand might possibly take home an award for the Video Director of The Year category.
This year’s BET Hip Hop Awards nominations is led by Drake who has received a total of 14 nominations, followed by Kanye West with 10 nominations and Kendrick Lamar with 9 nominations.
Drake’s nomination categories include: Hip Hop Artist of The Year, Hustler of The Year, Lyricist of The Year, Best Live Performer, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Song of The Year and Hip Hop Album of The Year.
Kanye’s nominations include: Hip Hop Artist of The Year, Hustler of The Year, Best Live Performer, Hip Hop Album of The Year, Best Hip Hop Video, Best Collaboration, Song of The Year and Best Featured Verse categories and Producer of The Year.
Kendrick Lamar has received a nod for: Best Hip Hop Video, Best Collaboration and Video Director of The Year.
