According to TMZ, there is an active case for the accusations made against Trey and the police are interested in talking to him and hearing his side of the story.

“A source close to the investigation informs us that Trey Songz has been cooperative with authorities and expects that when all the evidence is reviewed, he will be exonerated. This is another instance where those involved try to blame the celebrity with hopes of getting fame or riches,” said Trey’s legal representative, Mitchel Schuster.

This is not the first time Trey has been accused of violence against women. In 2018, he was accused by a woman named Andrea Buera of chocking her, punching her in the face and knocking her down. She revealed that she is hopeful that he would change.
