Luxury Spanish company, Balenciaga, is under attack on social media after posting images sexualizing children in their new holiday campaign.

The campaign, which was posted early this week, shows a little girl, holding a teddy bear dressed in bondage gear. In a separate image, they showed a poorly hidden document that contains information on virtual child pornography.

Balenciaga has now come forward to apologize to the public, in a statement posted on their Instagram. They revealed that the campaign did not receive the company’s stamp of approval and assured that they will take legal action against the people involved in the set.

“We apologize for displaying unsettling documents in our campaign. We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot,” read the statement.

The luxury brand, immediately took down the images from all of their platforms including their website and added that they recognize that it was wrong of them to have children pose with the BDSM bears.

However, the public does not seem to buy their apology and wants the cancel culture to be implemented immediately against them as they do not understand how the campaign images could have slipped through the cracks.
