Afrobeat hit-maker Damini ‘Burna Boy’ Ogulu has revealed that Toni Braxton is getting 60% of the royalties he is earning from his hit song ‘Last Last’.
The Grammy award winner appeared in a podcast as a guest and was asked what led to him creating the hit song. Burna revealed that he has always wanted to sample Toni’s original song ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough’.

He then got producer Chopsticks to make it happen. He further revealed that Toni is getting a 60% cut in royalties from the sample but he has no hard feelings because he got to get creative with the song.
“That’s one of the most special creative processes ever, but she is taking 60% of the sh*t,” he said.

Burna further revealed that he wishes to share a stage with the iconic musician one day and that it was not about the money for him.
“I’m not even complaining man, hopefully she even pops out to one of the shows,” he added.
Burna Boy released ‘Last Last’ over a month ago. The song is allegedly a diss track to his ex-girlfriend and fellow musician Stefflon Don.

In the lyrics, he talks about her being manipulative and taking his love for granted. He also revealed that she claims he did nothing for her and yet he did everything for her. He further revealed that maybe one day in another life she will be his wife. Steff was set to clap back with her own diss track but failed to release it for unknown reasons.
