COOLIO ‘GANGSTA’S PARADISE’ RAPPER DIES AT 59

Grammy Award winning hip-hop artiste, Coolio, best known for his 90s hit song ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’, has died at the age of 59.

The rapper’s manager Jarez Posey, confirmed the news revealing that he died at a friend’s house in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon but the cause of his death is still unknown.

“We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon. He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly.”

Jarez also added that the friend revealed that Coolio had gone to the bathroom but took to long to come out. He then called out for him and after multiple attempts, he walked in and found Coolio laying on the ground.

Coolio’s friend then called for help and when the paramedics arrived, they pronounced him dead. They however suspect that he died from cardiac arrest but investigations have begun to determine what really caused the rapper’s death.

Coolio’s legacy will continue to live on through his music. He gained recognition back in 1995, thanks to his hit ‘Gangster’s Paradise’ which went on to score him a Grammy Award.
