INDIA: POPULAR MUSICIAN DIES HOURS AFTER PERFORMING AT CONCERT

KK (Krishnakumar Kunnath), a popular Indian singer, has died. He died on Tuesday night in Kolkata.

According to reports, KK performed at Nazrul Mancha on Tuesday and then went to his hotel, where he became ill. He was taken to a private hospital and pronounced dead.

The singer, 53, had previously shared photos from his Tuesday concert on his social media accounts.

After the release of his first solo album, “Pal,” in 1999, he became a household name.

Tributes to the late singer began to pour in as soon as news of his death broke, including one from India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions and struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti,” Modi said.

In the video, singer KK is seen performing his timeless classic, ‘Pal’ at a concert in Kolkata. Hours later, he collapsed at his hotel and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
