Hip hop mogul and billionaire Shawn ‘Jay-Z Carter’ will be seeing his liquor company partner Bacardi, in court as he is sueing them over his D’Usse VSOP cognac deal.
The rapper wants full transparency from Bacardi and wants them to hand over all details in regards to D’Usse, which Bacardi co-owns alongside SC Liquor, Jay’s company.
From the warehouses, to the physical inventory locations as well as the inventory prices, bottles and accessories, Jay wants to know it all.
Jay and Bacardi have been in partnership since 2011 and Jay was even filmed drinking the cognac from his Grammy cup.
It is not clear what has sparked Jay’s sudden interest, but it is clear that the rapper has lost confidence in Bacardi and probably thinks that they are not being transparent with him in regards to how much they are making in sales.
Jay, also owns famous champagne brand, Armand de Brignac or popularly known as Ace of Spades, alongside LVMH Moet Hennessy, a luxury brand known mainly for creating the iconic luxury clothing line, Louis Vuitton.
