American rapper Lil Tjay is currently in hospital fighting for his life after being shot in an attempted robbery. The suspects of the shooting have since been arrested and detained.
The rapper was shot in New Jersey at around midnight and was immediately rushed to hospital where he underwent surgery which was reportedly a success. The ‘Calling My Phone’ rapper is being monitored closely by the doctors regardless of his surgery being a success.
Tjay was not solo during the shooting, he was in the company of his two friends. Unfortunately, one of them got shot once while Tjay got shot multiple times.
Three suspects have since been arrested in connection with the shooting, one of them has been identified by the police as Mohamed Konate.
Konate has been charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder while the two men who were with Tjay were also arrested for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
