Face masks will no longer be required to be worn in public places, according to Namibian President Hage Geingob.

Geingob also stated that international visitors who have been vaccinated will not be required to undergo PCR testing before entering the country.

The elimination of Covid-19 limits coincides with a drop in the number of new viral cases reported.

The number of individuals authorized to attend events was increased from 500 to 1,000 by the president.

People on public transportation and attending indoor activities would be asked to wear masks, he said.
