The President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, confirmed the news to journalists on Monday morning.
“We lost Ada. No details at the moment, but we’ve lost Ada,” Rollas said.
Viral unconfirmed rumors making rounds on social media, however, claimed that the actress passed away Sunday night at a hospital in Delta State, Nigeria.
However, she reportedly passed away while being transported to the neighbouring Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Hospital.
The autopsy report of the most likely cause or causes of Adah Ameh’s unexpected death has not yet been made public by the NNPC hospital in Warri.
Also, the police public relations officer (PPRO) for Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, could not be reached for comments at the time of filing this report.
A few weeks ago, the actress opened up about her mental health challenges.
“Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. I will get over it,” Ameh had said.
