In Nairobi, urinating in an undesignated place will cost one a fine of $100 or six months of imprisonment following a new law.
The same fine is applicable when one blows their nose without a handkerchief or tissue paper.
Hawkers are also not allowed to sell their merchandise while shouting or using loud instruments.
Washing or repair of cars is also not allowed in the Central Business District unless it is an emergency.
“Nairobi is the face of Kenya. We all need a clean and hygienic environment to live and work in,” Nairobi Governor Ann Kananu said.
