American comedian and motivational speaker Steve Harvey welcomed South African based Kenyan comedian into his family by adopting her as his niece.
Majimbo was on Steve’s daytime talk show ‘Steve on Watch’ which aired on Facebook Watch on Thursday.
Amidst their conversation, Steve told Majimbo that he will adopt her as his niece and will even give her his phone number.
“Imma give you my phone number, I don’t care what you need. If you need anything, you need a place to go, you need help, you need some advice, you wanna talk to somebody, you call. I’m serious I don’t want nothing happen to you,” said Steve.
This as an attempt by Steve to bridge the gap between Africa and Africa Americans. Speaking highly of Africa, Steve called on his audience to visit the continent if they have never been there mainly because he loves the fact that he never feels like a minority when in Africa.
“It’s the first time in my life in 67 years that I wake up in the morning and I’m not a minority,” he added.
The new family members ended the heartwarming conversation by high fiving each other and Steve assuring Majimbo that she has an uncle in the United States.
