Patrick Clark, the suspect charged with the murder of Migos rapper Takeoff, has been denied bond reduction according to his attorney, Letitia Quinones.

Quinones spoke in a press conference revealing that they complied with the authorities and were caught by surprise when they learned that Clark’s bond which was set at $1,000,000 was not going to be lowered.

She added that it may be due to the fact that it is a high-profile case as Takeoff was an A-list celebrity and whose music was enjoyed by millions of people around the world. However, she believes that the bond is too high and Clark together with his family are not in the financial position to raise that money.

“We complied with every requirement that the judge asked of us, only to be told today that it [the bond] would not be lowered. So yes, we are very disappointed. We disagree. And frankly, we’re very surprised,” she said.

Quinones however maintains that her 33-year-old client is innocent and believes that somethings have been lost in translation.

“The fight is not over. We do believe without a shadow of a doubt that when the time comes, we will be able to show Mr. Clark’s innocence in this,” Quinones said Wednesday.

“I think something has been lost with all the hype and all the tragedy that’s involved in this offense , and that’s Mr. Clark is presumed innocent,” she added.

Takeoff, was shot in Houston, Texas, on November 1st  while playing a game of dice. According to reports, a heated argument ensued and gun shots were fired and three people were shot, one of them being the 28-year-old rapper who died at the crime scene while the rest were rushed to hospital.
